5A- What is your light?

5A-What is your light?  What is unique and special about you?

Last week we looked at what we admire in others and we worked on realizing there is plenty for everyone.  With abundance, there is the freedom to create any life we want.

This week, I want you to look at what is great about you.  What makes you special and what do you offer others?  We all have unique traits that make us wonderful and much of the time, we don't even notice or realize how special each of us is.  We have characteristics that are unique to us and we have skills and abilities that we bring to all of our interactions.  What could be better than knowing what our special light is and being able to offer that to others?  If we can each embrace what makes us special and we live our life giving that to the world, what a great world we would have.

Last year I went to the beach with some girlfriends and I got everyone to write down something special about the other women there.  We all got to take home the notes about us and it was interesting because when each of us read our notes, there were such similarities in what each person wrote about us.  We were given a reminder of what it is that we bring to others.  Without seeing what each other wrote, it was amazing how certain qualities stood out about each of us.  We all appreciated very similar things about each person.  Many of us did not even know that we offered these things to others, but once we saw the messages, it was a great way to get a glimpse into our own special light.

We can begin to find our unique traits by asking others or by looking into ourselves to see what we feel we offer others.  I want each of you to find your special light and find a way to share that special light with the people around you.

Questions-Either journal about these questions or spend some time thinking through each one.
- What is special about you?
- What would others say they admire in you?
- What do you feel you present to the world?
- What do you offer others?
- What do you bring to your relationships?
- What do you love to do?
- What makes you smile?
- How can you incorporate all of this to be even more true to yourself and your purpose?

Fieldwork-
Ask a few close friends or family members what you bring to that relationship.  What are your special characteristics that make you unique and wonderful?  What would they say your light is?  Take this information and begin to appreciate what is so great about you!

Enjoy the journey!
