5B-What is your light?

The upcoming week's topic is Tolerations.  What are you putting up with and what do you need to take care of?  Join me Monday to read more!

Last Monday, we began to look at what our special and unique qualities are.  What our special light is!  Now that we have started to see that we truly offer something special , let's explore how we share that with others.  As always, you can start here, or go back to any of the previous blogs and start with one of those.

For me, I knew I had found my perfect fit when I found life coaching.  Even though I have to work on my life just like each of you, I know my light is sharing my coaching with others.  I began the blog to share this and to work with others to create their perfect life.  When I am able to guide others through my coaching, it makes me smile inside.  I want everyone to have that in their life!

Your light has to be yours alone so create this for yourself.  Find out what you offer others and find a way to share that even more than you already do.  Take what others feel you offer and what you know about yourself and create your mission, your vision and your purpose.  Find and share your light!

It is interesting because one of the things I like best about coaching is to see how others progress and change.  With the blog, it is hard to see that progress.  For some of you reading the blog, something you may be missing from a traditional coaching relationship is the accountability part.  With a normal phone or in person coaching session, you have homework after each session.  The coaching session itself consists of me asking you questions based on your goals and I hold you accountable for your weekly progress.  The reason for my bi-weekly questions and fieldwork is to mimic the traditional coaching relationship as much as possible.  As a coach I feel each of us has the answers inside and my job is to bring those answers to light.

Your bonus challenge this week has been created to challenge you and to provide you the accountability factor while giving me the feedback I love the most.  I hope you will take the opportunity to share with me!

5A- What is your light?

5A-What is your light?  What is unique and special about you?

Last week we looked at what we admire in others and we worked on realizing there is plenty for everyone.  With abundance, there is the freedom to create any life we want.

This week, I want you to look at what is great about you.  What makes you special and what do you offer others?  We all have unique traits that make us wonderful and much of the time, we don't even notice or realize how special each of us is.  We have characteristics that are unique to us and we have skills and abilities that we bring to all of our interactions.  What could be better than knowing what our special light is and being able to offer that to others?  If we can each embrace what makes us special and we live our life giving that to the world, what a great world we would have.

Last year I went to the beach with some girlfriends and I got everyone to write down something special about the other women there.  We all got to take home the notes about us and it was interesting because when each of us read our notes, there were such similarities in what each person wrote about us.  We were given a reminder of what it is that we bring to others.  Without seeing what each other wrote, it was amazing how certain qualities stood out about each of us.  We all appreciated very similar things about each person.  Many of us did not even know that we offered these things to others, but once we saw the messages, it was a great way to get a glimpse into our own special light.

We can begin to find our unique traits by asking others or by looking into ourselves to see what we feel we offer others.  I want each of you to find your special light and find a way to share that special light with the people around you.

Questions-Either journal about these questions or spend some time thinking through each one.
- What is special about you?
- What would others say they admire in you?
- What do you feel you present to the world?
- What do you offer others?
- What do you bring to your relationships?
- What do you love to do?
- What makes you smile?
- How can you incorporate all of this to be even more true to yourself and your purpose?

Fieldwork-
Ask a few close friends or family members what you bring to that relationship.  What are your special characteristics that make you unique and wonderful?  What would they say your light is?  Take this information and begin to appreciate what is so great about you!

Enjoy the journey!
